Hi! My name is Lain Walls (They/Them) and I'm an actor, lyricist, playwright, composer, and Wordle-lover based in NYC and Atlanta. I am a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, where I was a double major in Writing For the Stage and Musical Theatre, and a writer for the sketch comedy team, Dead Rabbits Society.
At Marymount, I was the assistant music director for Head Over Heels, and music assistant on a new Ryan Scott Oliver musical, Tomorrow the Island Dies, at Pearl Studios (MD Jason Wetzel, Dir. Jason Gotay)!
I was also in my school's productions of Urinetown, Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play (where I also played accordion, guitar, piano, and glockenspiel!), and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (Dir. Todd Buonopane)
College was cool and all, but now I'm a professional! I just finished up a contract at The REV, and I'm currently on tour with Bright Star. I studied improv with Dad's Garage and was a troupe member and pianist for Off The Dome my improv group in college, so I can yes-and with the best of them!
I'm a staff writer at The Broadway Beat (sorry if I've ever made fun of you on there before), but when I'm not writing about Lea Michelle or whatever is trendy right now (lets face it, it will always be Lea Michelle), I write plays, including a recent residency at the Horizon Theatre in Atlanta.
I also work frequently at 54 Below, and have been there as a producer, performer, and writer! Come to my upcoming show celebrating the Tonys!
