Hi! My name is Lain Walls (They/Them) and I'm an actor, lyricist, playwright, composer, and Wordle-lover based in NYC and Atlanta. I a double major in Writing For the Stage and Musical Theatre at Marymount Manhattan College. I'm also a writer for my sketch comedy team, Dead Rabbits Society, and a staff writer at The Broadway Beat (sorry if I've ever made fun of you on there before).
I recently was the music assistant on a reading of a new Ryan Scott Oliver musical, Tomorrow the Island Dies, at Pearl Studios (MD Jason Wetzel, Dir. Jason Gotay)!
In college, I was the assistant music director for Head Over Heels. I was also in my school's productions of Urinetown, Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play (where I also played accordion, guitar, piano, and glockenspiel!), and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (Dir. Todd Buonopane)
I studied improv with Dad's Garage and now am a troupe member and pianist for my improv group Off The Dome, so I can yes-and with the best of them!
In 2023, I had a production of my musical Scenic Route produced as my capstone for my playwriting major, and now I'm working on getting a cast album made. In June, my friend Elisabeth Nordeen is producing a revue of my songs at 54 Below!
